Sean Milligan

Sean has been involved in the barbershop harmony style since the age of 14, when he served as an usher for a barbershop performance in a local theater. The interest was peaked, he attended a chapter meeting, and a month later he was off to be a spectator at the 1984 International Quartet Competition in St Louis. The hook was planted, and he has enjoyed this wonderful form of music ever since!

Sean has been involved in many aspects of the barbershop style. He has appeared on the international competition stage a total of 18 times, both in quartets and choruses, achieving medalist quartet ranking in 1995 with Backbeat. He has served as a musical director, board member, and music team member for miscellaneous chapters within the Sunshine District, and currently serves as the musical director for the Sunshine District Association of Quartet Champions. In his spare time, Sean records four-part learning tapes for choruses and quartets to assist in the process of learning new music.

Sean lives in Pompano Beach with Cody the beagle and Daisy the calico. He manages a team of business analysts for Bank Atlantic, and enjoys playing softball, golfing, writing, and recording in his home studio.

Information

Rounders is one of the most musical quartets to hit the barbershop stage in years — with their smooth blend and strong sense of rhythm, they are taking the world of barbershop harmony by storm in just a short time on the scene. In just over a year since forming, they have placed 12th in the world at the International Barbershop Harmony contest in 2004, won the Sunshine District (Florida) quartet championship, and released their debut (and now CARA award-winning) recording, "I Wanna Be Around".
