Myron Whittlesey
Myron first fell in love with the barbershop style when he was in junior high school after hearing recordings of two legendary quartets, The Suntones and Keepsake. Growing up in rural Denver, Indiana, there weren’t any local barbershop chapters, so he would drive long distances to meet with other barbershoppers just to get his “fix”.
Myron did not officially become a member of the Barbershop Harmony Society until age 24. However, he has been involved in some form of barbershop (mostly quartetting) since high school. Myron’s previous competitive quartet experience includes: Blueprint (2000 Sunshine District college champs and International 5th place medalists), Formal Affair (2001 Sunshine District college champs and International 4th place medalists), and Boundary Line (2004 Cardinal District quartet champions). Myron is also a substitute with the Dapper Dans of Walt Disney World.
Outside of barbershop, Myron spends most of his time with his beautiful wife Emily and daughter Nora. In his downtime, he loves to sit down and play the piano and he also loves to go to movies. He and his wife are actively involved with a local church. Myron lives in Tampa and is a marketing specialist for a videography firm owned by his brother-in-law.
